Robby loves fixing up and doing maintenance around our cabin. I like DECORATING the cabin... so about a week ago i told robby i would forgo decorating so we could focus on doing somethings that needed to be done around here. I TOLD HIM I WOULD NOT SPEND ANY MONEY DECORATING THE HOUSE... for some of you that is like not buying clothes or not going out to eat or not eating chocolate....it's HARD... so i have had to get creative.
There is an empty lot near our house where they dump trash, and old wood, etc. We made our recycling station out of this wood a few months ago.
We decided to go see what they had cause we were going to frame the mirrors in our bathrooms. Well we ended up finding this old pallet that was a cool blue color. I saw it and HAD TO HAVE IT!! So robby pulled it out of the pile while i went to get his saw. He sawed it in half and i found these two planks to go on the top and bottom so i could store things in it and use the top as a shelf.
I love the color, it matches perfectly with our green, blue and brown bed and bath.
And the old chippy wood
We hung it over our bathroom to store towels, bubble bath, soap and candles.
It's by far my favorite project we have done and it was FREE!!
